NYE started at [info]mossiah's where J & I got all gladitorial on the bouncy castle (more a dual-platformed crash mat, complete with fat squishy pikes for walloping your opponent with. Thanks [info]ashen3!)
Then off to [info]doctor_k_ and [info]strangedaves 'til just before midnight - midnight we spent down at the Matilda Bay foreshore watching the stars, the distant fireworks and snuggling. Dawww :)

I took J home at that point, before heading out to Toby's for the quietest rave evah (the cops had turned up with a noise complaint not long before I got there lol) where I had a lovely time chillaxing with [info]scruffmuffin, his sister Jess (we were both convinced we'd met before quite recently, despite it being physically impossible given our movements), [info]secrets_n_lies, [info]stickykitty, [info]sternenblau, Brett, [info]caine_sin, [info]kittensoda, Toby and [info]cherry_kitty_.

Home at 4am, then up at seven to cycle down to the train station to head out to Freo to take the ferry to Rottnest. An overnight stay with my parents, my sister, her husband, my youngest brother and his girlfriend. Cycled around the island with J, followed a few people on their snorkelling trip, and a couple of us got to see an osprey diving for fish, too.

Friday night - a moderately quiet night with friends and a room five feet deep in balloons.

Saturday, recovery.

Sunday, Summadayze :-)

6000 Red, Boys Boys Boys, Thomas Ford, Steve Aoki, She Selexx, Mia Sonos, Galvatrons, Brash & Sassy, Armin Van Buuren, The Transients. Missed The Voltaire Twins and Underworld (long story), but all in all an excellent day. So much energy and presence from everyone. Oh, and it turns out I met one the vocallists from Boys Boys Boys at [info]chr15m's a couple of years back :) My thanks to [info]sternenblau, Brett and [info]strangedave for the company early in the day, great to share the rest with J, and lovely to see everyone I bumped into along the way! Oh, and J says my dancing has improved markedly :-P

Back to the grindstone tomorrow - but I think I've still got some more recovering to do.

For me SummaDayze was essentially a big list of support acts for Underworld, so it seems very unfortunate you missed them, especially as you were well placed just half an hour or so before they started.

I strongly regret missing them, but TBH I was in two minds about going when all I knew about the event was the headliners. Seeing as many excellent local acts as I did in the one tent in the one afternoon would have been worth the ticket price alone. Van Buuren was a nice bonus :)

I, myself, have often wondered how you manage all you do. Party and then get up a fews hours later to go roller blading or cycling. But then apparently I am a cat, according to Rob, I sleeps lots and then have bouts of activity infused moments.

Well, I got a full seven or eight hours sleep every night bar NYE and last night - and last night was just down to insomnia.

I'm envious of people who get down to sIn every weekend (I'm still once or twice a month boy), but I'm also not going to let the occasional late night get in the way of doing fun things with [info]rabbit1080 :-)

*SNUGG* I cant believe I didn't see you at all!! It was so busy though, so I suppose it's tough work... There were a lot of people I didn't get to see. AWW! But omg, what a fun day... so hot though, I think I am wearing shorts next time!!

You were wearing pants? I could only manage half an hour dancing in the sun in shorts! But yeah, I'm always surprised how few people I bump into at these things. It's a big crowd!

I have to wear pants in public, it's the law. :( Haha... I usually wear jeans and dont have an issue, but for some reason it was worse this time. I wont let it happen again! ;)
